What To Expect At Your Visit
Upon first visit, the initial intake interview will be conducted with the parents/caregivers of the child. Subsequently, the clinician will begin the assessment process with the child. Assessment is typically a fun process for the younger child and takes the form of game play. The evaluation period typically takes place in one day ranging from 2 to 6 hours in duration. Breaks and snack time are implemented to create an exciting and interactive experience for the child. After the completion of the evaluation, a thorough and individualized written report will be completed including diagnostic impressions and recommendations. A feedback session between the doctor and the care caregivers will be scheduled to discuss the findings of the evaluation, review the assigned diagnoses and recommendations, and to answer any remaining questions.
